Notes

Technical notes for AWS architects and cloud engineers. Each entry documents a non-obvious AWS or AWS-adjacent pitfall we’ve hit on production deployments at CloudKeep — what the symptom looked like, why it happens, and what actually works. The goal: spare you the afternoon (or week) we spent figuring it out the first time.

Every note follows the same shape: symptom, root cause, fix. Where AWS or Google docs gloss over something, we point at the specific gap. Where the official guidance is correct but easy to misread, we mark that too.

Each note is a living document. We revise them when we find out AWS or upstream behavior has changed, when we discover a better workaround, or when readers flag something we missed. The Last updated timestamp at the top of each note reflects the most recent edit.
